Source grounded LDS AI / Web and iOS live; Android coming soon

What Gordon built and maintains

Built and shipped the public web product and iOS app while carrying the retrieval and guardrail architecture across both live surfaces.

Designed the product experience to feel trustworthy to an audience that is appropriately skeptical of generic AI tools.

Worked through the domain specific retrieval and content handling challenges that make LDS focused AI different from general assistants.

What was hard

Religious communities have high expectations for accuracy and low tolerance for hallucination in sensitive content areas.

Cross platform consistency requires a product architecture that does not fragment the experience across web and mobile.

Guardrails have to be real constraints, not just policy statements, which requires real engineering decisions.

Proof at a glance

  • Launched a public web product at myliahona.app and a public iOS app listed in Apple's App Store.
  • Turned source grounding and domain specific guardrails into core product requirements rather than afterthoughts.
  • Kept Android clearly described as forthcoming rather than presenting it as already shipped.
